Unlike typical rhegmatogenous retinal detachment repair, surgery in the setting of a GRT or in the setting of a coloboma requires some special considerations. The patient presented here has an inferior fundus coloboma not involving the optic nerve who presented with a superotemporal GRT-associated retinal detachment.
