96. Retained Lens Levitation with PFCL

There are a number of options for removal of retained lens material. In today’s episode, guest surgeon Dr. Fehmy Nafaa from Tunis, Tunisia shows us an interesting technique for removal of dense retained lens material.  The patient in this case underwent cataract extraction complicated by posterior capsule rupture.  This particular lens was quite dense and the decision was made to leave the patient aphakic and refer for pars plana lensectomy.  Here Dr. Nafaa is going to levitate the lens material anteriorly using PFCL to deliver the lens through an MSICS wound.  Thank you Dr. Nafaa for sharing this case!
