143. Perforating Ocular Trauma

This is an interesting case of perforating ocular trauma and retinal incarceration where the foreign body is embedded in the sclera in the posterior pole.  To avoid a large and deep intraocular dissection to extract the foreign body, the surgeons here, instead, remove it through an extraocular approach.  The case is presented by returning guest surgeon Dr. Anirudh Kapoor, a senior resident in vitreo-retina, cataract and refractive surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Science.  He is being supervised by attending surgeon and Assistant Professor, Dr. Saurabh Verma.  Thank you Drs. Kapoor and Verma for sharing this case!
