In this episode, we will review the basic steps of performing the Yamane intrascleral haptic fixation technique. This case was submitted by our guest surgeon of the week, Dr. Steven Safran, who will be sharing several secondary IOL cases for us to learn from. Dr. Safran is unique in that he is an anterior segment surgeon who also learned to perform pars plana vitrectomy during fellowship. We will have an opportunity to hear more about how he acquired his posterior segment skills during our interview with him at the end of the week.
