Today we have a great case submitted by Dr. Arjun Arora, a vitreoretinal fellow at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia. The patient has a history of amblyopia and a posteriorly dislocated black cataract, for which Dr. Arora performs an intracapsular cataract extraction with secondary lens implantation. Please note a correction to the video: we describe the intraocular lens as a Bausch + Lomb Akreos AO60, but that’s not accurate. The lens is actually a Bausch + Lomb LuxGood lens, which shares the four‑eyelet design but is hydrophobic, so it does not have the same opacification concerns reported with the hydrophilic Akreos AO60. Please also note that the LuxGood lens is not currently available in the United States. Thank you Dr. Arora for sharing this case!
