In Episode 7 we welcome guest surgeon Dr. Basil Anwar from Bangladesh. Dr. Anwar nicely demonstrates key steps in diabetic vitrectomy including segmentation of anterior and posterior vitreous, circumscribing vitreous adhesions around a fibrovascular membrane, the use of forceps to identify planes and spaces for segmentation and the use of the vitreous cutter to facilitate segmentation and delamination. The video nicely demonstrates visual cues that can guide the surgeon to safely performing these maneuvers, thereby minimizing iatrogenic breaks.
