Today we have the opportunity to learn more about the management of Persistent Fetal Vasculature (PFV). Guest surgeon Dr. Aaron Nagiel demonstrates lensectomy and posterior plaque removal using limbus-based vitrectomy in a child with anterior PFV. At the end of the video we discuss both anterior and posterior manifestations of PFV, how to distinguish it from other causes of leukocoria such as Retinoblastoma and the post-surgical management of PFV. We want to thank Dr. Nagiel for sharing this case and his fellow, Dr. Samuel Asanad, for editing the surgical video!
