One of the more common applications of ocular ultrasonography is to determine whether or not a retinal detachment is present. The presence of a hyperechoic membrane can raise the suspicion of a retinal detachment, however there are many other conditions that may have a similar appearance. In today’s episode we will review some ultrasonography tips that can help you distinguish a retinal detachment from other ocular pathology.
