Yutiq is a fluocinolone acetonide implant which can be administered to the posterior segment via pars plana intravitreal injection. It can be used to treat chronic non-infectious uveitis and lasts for up to 3 years. In patients with aphakia or iris capsule defects, the implant may migrate into the anterior chamber requiring explantation. Today we will show you two techniques for explanation from Drs. Abbas Haider of Chattanooga Tennessee and Blake Fortes a vitreoretinal fellow at UCLA. Thank you Drs. Haider and Fortes for sharing your cases!
